Why Is Caitlin Clark Not Wnba Draft Eligible

Caitlin Clark Still Years Away From WNBA Eligibility

Iowa Star to Play One More Season With Hawkeyes

Clark Not Eligible for 2023 WNBA Draft

Iowa star Caitlin Clark will have to wait at least one more year before she can enter the WNBA Draft. The 6-foot-1 guard is one of the most talented players in the country, but she is not yet eligible for the draft because she has not turned 22. The WNBA Draft requires that players turn 22 in the same calendar year of the draft.

Clark has one more year of eligibility remaining because of the extra year granted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She could have returned for a fifth year of eligibility due to her COVID-impacted freshman season in 2020-21, but she opted to return for her senior season.

Clark is averaging 27.0 points, 8.1 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game this season. She is also shooting 51.6% from the field and 44.9% from three-point range. Clark is a dynamic scorer who can score in a variety of ways. She is also a good rebounder and passer.

Clark is one of the best players in the country, and she is expected to be a high pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. She has all the tools to be a successful WNBA player, and she is only going to get better in her final season at Iowa.
